Using GPS on Cell Phones

The Blackberry GPS Telenav Application
If you're the type who loves exploring the neighborhood, city, state, or world, BlackBerry has a feature available which shouldn't be missed out on. GPS technology of course is nothing new, as many cars and cell phones now come with this functionality, but the BlackBerry takes it to an exciting new level.
If you can't afford a new Blackberry, consider going with used cell phones to get an absolutely invaluable aid no matter where you are in the world, from the nearest corner store, to the farthest corner of the globe. Not only does it showcase bright, vivid images of the streets and landmarks around you, it can also update you on events happening all around. It even has a built in Telenav applet, which speaks to you, letting you know which direction to turn, and the names of the streets you're on. This is perfect for those in cars or on bikes who can't keep the device in hand at all times. Not only does the BlackBerry GPS show areas from a traditional 2D viewpoint as in many GPS programs, but it can also do so in full 3D.
The good news is that these features are available on nearly all service providers. I know friends that have used Verizon phones, AT&T phones, Sprint phones, and nearly every other provider with equal success and satisfaction. Unlike some applications that are designed for certain networks, Blackberry has designed this to be universal.
Your Telenav applet can do far more than just spew out street names and directions though. It has an incredible function whereby it can direct you to the nearest gas station, and even update you on said gas station's prices, in near real-time. Imagine how much this handy feature could save you on a cross-country trip. Your BlackBerry could pay for itself in short order. The Telenav can also point you in the direction of the nearest relevant ATM, so you can avoid withdrawing money from machines that charge greater transaction fees than you would otherwise have to pay.
The Telenav in your refurbished BlackBerry does not of course contain every point of interest in it, and this is where the spot marker system comes in. This system allows you to make a spot marker at any point you wish, which points out to you landmarks that are otherwise not contained within your GPS. This lets you easily mark favorite restaurants or interesting landmarks for future visits.
The Telenav does do its best to help you find places of interest, as it comes packed with the locations of numerous restaurants, WiFi spots, park areas, hotels, sporting venues, and much more. Your Telenav GPS works just about anywhere you can see the sky, and costs as little as $10 per month. Whether you're an avid traveller, or have just a mild case of wanderlust, it really is an essential service that should be taken advantage of.
